Living Vicariously Through Wittier Writers
I’ve been meaning to write a post about one of my favorite blogs: Indexed. Pretty much the whole concept is the creator, Jessica Hagy, makes random diagrams and graphs linking culture, finances, and various non-sequitor topics. It’s witty and ironic and funny. It’s a daily blog that I frequent along with Lolcats, Passive Aggressive Notes, The "Blog" of "Unnecessary" Quotation Marks, The Comics Curmudgeon and Surviving Grady.
Another notable blog is Demonbaby. Rob, the blogger, will go on some pretty funny liberal rants about the state of American culture or some of his even crazier mis-adventures whilst travelling the globe. It’s just so well-written and it goes against the grain of a society that gets their news source from Perez Hilton. Currently he’s compiling a list of his favorite and not-so-favorite features of the past year in The Demonbaby Awards.
Such is the twenty-first century in an age of YouTube and blogs. Nearly all of my friends have their own blogs as well and now all of our external thoughts can be documented in a personalized opinion column for the convenience of Google-searchers.
